Musical Explorers is a program that our second grade students participate in each year. They meet musicians who live in New York City and learn all about their various musical styles and influences. They learn songs and movement that they perform with other 1st and 2nd graders from across the five boroughs at two interactive concerts during the year. Each student gets a unique music activity workbook that includes all of the songs and musical history and theory lessons that accompany the concert material. We use these materials to supplement our second grade music curriculum at PS 51.
