Chorus
The PS 51 Chorus includes 45 singers from grades 3-5. We rehearse after school on Thursdays and perform throughout the school for various in-school and community events.
Our music program has several opportunities for students who are interested in expanding their musical skills beyond that of the regular classroom. Some groups require an audition and some have pre-requisite skills that must be met for participation. Some are open to all students, but have a limited number of spots due to instrument inventory and availability.

The 4th and 5th Grade Recorder Ensembles invite students to study sopranino, alto, tenor, and bass recorder in addition to the performance skills they have mastered on soprano recorder. We rehearse during lunch recess on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and perform at various events throughout the year.
